Britney Spears Released From Hospital
On the late evening of January 3, 2008, police were called to Spears’s home after the singer reportedly refused to relinquish custody of her children to Federline and locked herself in a room with her youngest son, Jayden. Police were called to the scene, and Spears was taken from her home on a stretcher and hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for appearing to be under the influence of an unknown substance. Life & Style magazine reports that blood tests later came back negative for any illicit substances. Spears is currently being held for psychiatric evaluation hours after police were called in a child custody dispute at her Los Angeles home. She is said to be under a suicide watch. On January 5, 2007 Spears was released from the hospital in Los Angeles.
